Masterthesis/ Internship opportunity- Suicidal ideation Prediction using multimodal data

UZH · Uni St. Gallen · NYU | SNF MULTICAST Project

Are you a Master's student in Psychology, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field? Are you

interested in mental health, ontology modeling, and innovative AI solutions?

Join our international research team working on the SNSF-funded MULTICAST project

(https://www.multicast.uzh.ch/en.html), which aims to predict suicidal ideation in high-risk patients

after psychiatric hospitalization using mul6modal smartphone and clinical data (EMA, sensors, EEG,

video, etc.).

We offer two thesis/internship tracks:

Ontology modeling: Build and expand a mental health ontology and knowledge graph for suicidality.

Predictive modeling: Apply cutting-edge data science to forecast suicidal idea5on.

Work closely with experts from UZH, University of St. Gallen, and NYU, receive hands-on mentorship,

and contribute to real-world clinical impact.

! We’d be happy to welcome someone right away – early starters are very welcome!

You should have:

Python skills

A strong interest in and familiarity with data science and machine learning tools

Interest in mental health and mul5modal data

Experience with ontologies (for ontology track) or ML (for predic5on track) would be
