Wahlen der Delegierte des Wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses (WNW) 2026

Alle zwei Jahre werden Delegierte des Wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses (WNW) in die Gremien und Kommissionen des Instituts gewählt. Nun ist es wieder so weit. Wir suchen immer noch nach KandidatInnen für diese Ämter!

Achtung: Die Unterlagen der Gremien und Kommissionen sind auf Deutsch, und in den Sitzungen wird ebenfalls Deutsch gesprochen.

Ehrlich gesagt: Wir wissen, dass Gremienarbeit neben dem Forschungsalltag nicht ganz oben auf der Liste steht. Und trotzdem: es gibt ein paar ziemlich gute Gründe, warum es sich lohnt, mitzumachen.

• In diesen Gremien wird über Dinge entschieden, die den Arbeitsalltag von Doktorierenden direkt betreffen: Betreuungsstrukturen, Lehrpensum, IT-Infrastruktur, Doktoratsreglement, Personal- und Raumfragen. Wenn niemand aus dem WNW am Tisch sitzt, entscheiden die Profs das unter sich.

• Der Aufwand ist überschaubar, in den meisten Kommissionen ein paar Sitzungen pro Semester.

• Du lernst engagierte Leute aus deinem Stand aus anderen Abteilungen kennen.

• Du bekommst einen ziemlich einzigartigen Einblick, wie ein Institut tatsächlich funktioniert.

• Und: Die Person vor dir hat das Amt auch übernommen, damit der WNW sichtbar bleibt. Es ist ein bisschen ein Staffellauf.

Diese Ämter sind am PSYCH zu besetzen:

• Institutsversammlung (IV): 5 Sitze + 5 Stellvertretungen 

• Fachausschuss Doktorate: 2 + 2 

• Strategiekommission: 1 + 1 

• Personal- und Finanzkommission: 1 + 1 

• Programmausschuss: 1 + 1 

• IT & Datenmanagement: 1 + 1 

Eine Wiederwahl ist möglich! Wenn du aktuell ein Amt hast und weitermachen willst, freuen wir uns genauso über eine Meldung.

Voraussetzung für deine Kandidatur:

1. Du zählst zum Wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs am Psychologisches Institut (zum WNW gehören alle Doktorierende, Assistierende, PostDocs, Oberassistierende).
2. Du bist bereit, ein Amt ab dem 01.08.2026 zu übernehmen und mit anderen Vertreter*innen im WNW zusammenzuarbeiten. Die Amtszeit beträgt grundsätzlich zwei Jahre, es kann aber jedes Semester einmal nachgewählt/neubesetzt werden.
3. Zwei andere Personen vom WNW des Psychologisches Instituts stützen deine Kandidatur (diese Personen müssten Noah Rischert und Isabel Courage ebenfalls eine kurze, formlose E-Mail von der UZH-E-Mail-Adresse schreiben, spätestens bis zum 11.05.2026).
4. In deiner E-Mail an uns bestätigst du mit folgendem Satz, dass du das Amt bei einer Wahl übernehmen wirst: «Ich bestätige hiermit, dass ich oben genanntes Amt als Delegierte*r des WNW annehme, sollte ich gewählt werden.»

Zeitplan der Gesamtwahlen 2026:

• 11.05.2026: Deadline Kandidaturen und Unterstützungen
• 19.05.2026: Zustellung Wahlunterlagen (voraussichtlich E-Voting öffnet)
• 9.06.2026: Letzter Wahltag (E-Voting schliesst)
• 16.06.2026: Publikation Wahlergebnisse

Every two years, delegates of the Junior Researchers (WNW – Wissenschaftlicher Nachwuchs) are elected to the institute's committees and commissions. The time has come again, and we are still looking for candidates for these positions!

Note: Committee work is conducted in German — both the documents and the meetings are in German.

Honestly: we know that committee work isn't exactly at the top of the list alongside everyday research. And yet, there are a few pretty good reasons why it's worth getting involved:

• These committees decide on things that directly affect the daily work of doctoral researchers: supervision structures, teaching loads, IT infrastructure, doctoral regulations, personnel and space matters. If no one from the WNW is at the table, the professors decide these things among themselves.
• The workload is manageable — for most commissions, just a few meetings per semester.
• You get to know engaged people from your peer group across other departments.
• You gain a fairly unique insight into how an institute actually works.
• And: the person before you took on the role so that the WNW remains visible. It's a bit of a relay race.

The following positions are to be filled at PSYCH:

• Institute Assembly (IV): 5 seats + 5 deputies
• Doctoral Affairs Committee: 2 + 2
• Strategy Commission: 1 + 1
• Personnel and Finance Commission: 1 + 1
• Programme Committee: 1 + 1
• IT & Data Management: 1 + 1

Re-election is possible! If you currently hold a position and would like to continue, we'd be just as happy to hear from you.

Requirements for your candidacy:

1. You belong to the Junior Researchers at the Department of Psychology (the WNW includes all doctoral students, assistants, postdocs, and senior assistants).
2. You are willing to take on a position from 01.08.2026 and to collaborate with other WNW representatives. The term of office is generally two years, but by-elections/replacements can be held once per semester.
3. Two other people from the WNW of the Department of Psychology support your candidacy (these people must also send a short, informal email from their UZH email address to Noah Rischert and Isabel Courage, by 11.05.2026 at the latest).
4. In your email to us, you confirm with the following sentence that you will take on the position if elected: "I hereby confirm that I will accept the above-mentioned position as a WNW delegate, should I be elected."

Timeline of the 2026 general elections:

• 11.05.2026: Deadline for candidacies and endorsements
• 19.05.2026: Election documents distributed (E-voting expected to open)
• 09.06.2026: Last day of voting (E-voting closes)
• 16.06.2026: Publication of election results
