All inter-city train connections get you into Zurich main station (Schweizerische Bundesbahnen SBB). From there you may take a taxi (about CHF 30.00) or you may use public transport (see below) to get to the Department of Psychology.
Public Transport within Zurich
Zurich’s public transport system comprising both trams and busses, is called Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich (VBZ).
From Zurich Main Station to the Department of Psychology.
From the tram stop "Bahnhofquai" (just outside the main station to the right) take tram Number 14 (direction Seebach).
In about 17 minutes you will reach the station "Bahnhof Oerlikon Ost" where you get off, walk a few meters in the direction of tram until you reach the junction Binzmühlestrasse. You turn right onto Binzmühlestrasse and follow the street until you reach our offices at No. 14. It is about a 6 minutes' walk.
From the Oerlikon Train Station to the Department of Psychology.
When getting off the train in Oerlikon make sure to use the exit at the back of the station, platform 6. There you turn right and walk to Friesstrasse, turn left and walk several meters until you reach the junction Binzmühlestrasse where you turn right. It takes about 8 minutes to walk to our offices.
Taking a taxi from Unique Zurich Airport (Flughafen) to our offices is the easiest way (around CHF 35.00).
There are also direct trains to Oerlikon (S2 and/or S16) which take 4 minutes: Follow the signs to the underground train station, three levels down. The escalator proof luggage carts in the baggage arrival area are free of charge and can be taken down all the way to the train station.
Before taking the last stairs down to the train tracks make sure to purchase a ticket either from a ticket window or from a ticketing machine.
Another possibility to get to Oerlikon is Tram 10. The tram station is located behind parking deck 2 and 3. You reach it via the Airport Shopping area. At the stop “Leutschenbach” please get out, turn right and follow the Binzmühlestrasse. You find our Institute after a short walk on the right-hand side.
