Psychologisches Institut Professur Quantitative Methoden der Intervention und der Evaluation

Michael Aristodemou

Michael Aristodemou, MSc

My work uses dynamic properties of human behavior and neural activity to understand psychological attributes. This ranges from studying the longitudinal structure of mental disorders, to the rapid fluctuations that are inherent in people’s cognitive performance, to brain-behavior coupling using joint models.

Understanding the complex structure of psychological processes requires the adoption of appropriate statistical models. This has led me to work at the interface between quantitative methods development and substantive research.

As a postdoctoral researcher with prof. Charles Driver at the University of Zurich, I work to develop and apply methods that allow psychological researchers to translate their conceptual ideas about psychological dynamics into statistical models through the software package ctsem.
