I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in Prof. Dr. Klaus Oberauer’s group and the University Research Priority Program "Dynamics of Healthy Aging". My main interest is to discover more about the interplay of cognitive capacities with strategic aspects of behavior, enabling humans to make decisions and to accomplish their goals in an uncertain world. My current focus is on memory and decision making and their development over the course of the adult lifespan. To understand human behavioral and neuroimaging data, I create and use cognitive process models embedded in the ACT-R cognitive architecture as well as more abstract computational models. Applying a multi-disciplinary approach, I work together with researchers from cognitive and developmental psychology, decision science, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence.

  • Memory and decision making (esp. relation of working and long-term memory processes to human judgment and decision-making strategies)
  • Computational models of cognition (esp. process models in integrated cognitive architectures, evidence accumulation models)
  • Connections of computational models to neuroimaging data (esp. fMRI)
  • Age-associated differences, lifespan development, and plasticity (esp. cognitive development in older adults)
